Ramazan is currently a master’s student of International Organizations and Crisis Management at the Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena in Germany. In his research-based master’s degree, he has been focusing on the Cyprus dispute and the conflicts in the Caucasus. Ramazan holds a bachelors’ degree from the Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic, in the field of International Territorial Studies. Development studies, socio-economic and political problems of the developing countries, and development aid and cooperation were his main interest areas during his bachelor’s studies. In that regard, Ramazan has worked as an intern at a community center near the Moria refugee camp on the island of Lesvos in Greece. This experience allowed him to observe the refugee crisis of Europe and the situation in the Mediterranean. Moreover, during his studies, Ramazan has studied at the University of Antwerp in Belgium and at the Wroclaw University of Economics in Poland as an exchange student. In addition, he has recently participated in a summer school in Armenia and received his training on peace education and reconciliation in the Caucasus. Ramazan’s research interests during his internship at the PCMR are mainly the Turkish and Kurdish politics, Cyprus issue, Kurdish political movements in the Middle East, and ethnic and territorial conflicts in the Middle East and the Caucasus. It is our pleasure to welcome Ramazan on board and we wish him success with his research.
