PCMR Expands Its Team!

Date of publication: October 7, 2025

At the beginning of October 2025, the Prague Center for Middle East Relations (PCMR) welcomed three new interns to its team. Specifically, Anežka Petráková, who focuses on security issues in northeastern Syria; Aneta Smetanová, whose main area of interest is the role of Turkey in regional and international politics; and Mahi Farman, a student at the American University of Sulaimani (AUIS), who explores the geopolitical connections between East Asian and Middle Eastern countries. The interns contribute both to organizing PCMR events and to publishing policy papers on specific topics.

PCMR aims to actively involve students not only in the day-to-day activities and operations of the center but also in discussions within its closed policy roundtables. This approach emphasizes the connection between theoretical perspectives, in political science, international relations, and security studies, and current developments in the Middle East.
